Wellntel Matches Pressure Transducer Performance

Resulting comparison between Wellntel and Pressure Transducer shows very high correlation between instruments

In a side-by-side comparison with a combination pressure transducer and barometric pressure logger, Wellntel has shown that with proper calibration and “benchmarking,” Wellntel will deliver accuracy and precision on par with much more expensive and complicated instruments.

Here are the results of a three-month study conducted by members of the South Benton County Community Groundwater Network, the Oregon Water Resources Department and the Wellntel Science Team.

About this test
Page 2 – About this test
OWRD comparison of raw data, before Wellntel calibration, with an estimated “Measuring Point” (MP) for simplicity
Page 3 – Initial Results
We set MP to the top of the Well Casing for both instruments
Page 3 – Benchmarking
We “normalized” elevation to MP, and then applied shallow-well metrics to the Wellntel raw data to account for narrow temperature variation

Resulting comparison between Wellntel and Pressure Transducer shows very high correlation between instruments

Actual difference is usually ½ inch or less (.297%)
